Aptos (APT) is currently trading at $4.22 and fell 1.09% in a day and a total of 8.57% for the week. Trading took a spike downwards despite the drop, with 24-hour volumes rising 13.16% to $231.53 million. The increased traction indicates traders are still interested in APT despite the token not being able to hold its ground.

The crypto big picture has been volatile over recent weeks, and Aptos was no different. Price action of the token is a manifestation of broader indecision, but it’s perhaps building a case for a rebound.
According to crypto analyst BITCOIN EYES, Aptos has actually been consolidating in a bearish descending wedge pattern, a technical formation typically made to precede eventual breakouts. Every dip down to the lower boundary of the wedge has in the past elicited a price bounce-back, and positioning currently puts APT back around this structural Support Level.
The analyst posits that the time may be a good opportunity for dollar-cost averaging (DCA) approaches, pointing to the absence of meaningful upward momentum over the past months as an indication that compression can spark a bigger move to come. For risk management, BITCOIN EYES recommends a stop-loss below $3.50.
This outlook has piqued the interest of investors on the hunt for undervalued assets within the altcoin universe. A comeback for Aptos if it makes a move on technical compression would place it in a better position competitor-wise among mid-cap cryptocurrencies.
